Harriet Harrison

March 31, 1939 – Oct. 14, 2021

Harriet Ann Harrison, Crawfordsville, passed away Thursday morning at Franciscan Health –Crawfordsville. She was 82.

Born March 31, 1939 in Crawfordsville, she was the daughter of Eddie Harrison, Sr. and Gladys Wilson Harrison. 

She graduated from New Ross High School in 1959. She worked at the Ginger-Boo in high school, then at Roberto’s Pizza, babysat for many years and then went to work at Terra Knife (now Banjo Corp.) and worked there over 30 years.  She was a member of Woodland Heights Christian Church. She liked to people watch, and make things using plastic canvas.

Survivors include her daughter, Stephanie Harrison-Weaver of Crawfordsville; two grandchildren, Nathanial Weaver (Brittany Lohorn-Weaver) and Nicholas Weaver; four great-grandchildren, Olivia Weaver, Kaydenn Weaver, Kamryn Beard and Lorin Beard; two sisters, Mary Beth Brown and Linda Harrison Bell; two brothers, Paul (Wanda) Harrison and Steve (Julie) Harrison; nephews and nieces like siblings to Stephanie, Kevin Bell, Brian Bell, Joe Brown, Sean Brown and Tonya Brown; along with many additional nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Florence Jane, Harold, Bobby, Billy, Junior, Jack and Phyllis.

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Burkhart Funeral Home, 201 West Wabash, with a service starting at 5:30 p.m., led by Pastor Greg McDonald.
