Ronald Joseph Brown

Ronald Joseph Brown, age 83 of Crawfordsville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2022 at The Lane House in Crawfordsville.

He was born Aug. 22, 1939 to Thomas and Winifred Brown in West Haven, CT. He married the love of his life, Judith Kelly, on April 30, 1960. They were married for 59 years until her death in 2019.

He worked at Raybestos for many years transferring to Indiana in 1984. He retired in 2006 from Raybestos. He served in the United States Army and loved his country. He enjoyed fishing and loved the New York Giants. He enjoyed working out in the yard and talking politics. He was a great role model and a man of his word. He was a hardworking man all of his life. His family was very important to him. He will truly be missed by all.

He and Judith raised four sons, Ronald (Judy), Wayne, Christopher (Ann) and Stephen (Hollie). He had 10 grandchildren, Christina, Lisa, Laura, Michael, Taylor, Tess, Tatum, Elizabeth, Jarrett and Sarah; eight great grandchildren, Gemma, Zavier, Cassius, Nazir, Zarina, Brennan, Kieran and Rowan; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five siblings, Pammy, Carmen, Rayma, Tommy and Reggie; his son, Wayne; and his wife of 59 years, Judith.

Visitation will be at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S Washington St., in Crawfordsville on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022 from 1 p.m. till the time of the funeral service at 3 p.m., with military honors by the United States Army and Legion Post 72 Honor Guard.
