Frances Wooden Park Dedication Set For September 30

A dedication of the newly-renovated Frances Wooden Park will be held on Saturday, September 30 by the Montgomery County Community Foundation and the City of Crawfordsville.

Through funding from MCCF and the City of Crawfordsville, the park underwent major renovations during the summer. New play equipment, a shelter, and interactive musical pieces are just a few of the many improvements. Located next to the Bethel AME Church at 310 N Grant Avenue, the park also features ties to local history, including the site’s significance as a stop on the Underground Railroad.

The event will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a ribbon cutting. Neighbors and community members are invited to join the celebration, enjoy fall treats, and see the completed project.
